Tips & Ideas
Note that this isn’t a $10 instant discount when spending $40+ at Big Lots using PayPal. Instead, you get a $10 reward to be used on a future purchase; I’m not sure if that future purchase has to be done at Big Lots, or if it’s a generic reward that can be used anywhere – please let us know in the comments if you redeem this offer.
I don’t think Big Lots has a third party gift card rack, but you can buy a $40 Big Lots gift card to earn the $10 reward. That’ll make it profitable for many resellers provided you don’t have to subsequently redeem the $10 at Big Lots.
This IS an instant discount. Bought a $40 GC at big lots with PayPal QR code and I see -$30 taken from my linked chase card.
Real great experience in-store: I was told they don’t take PayPal when I initially asked so I was prepared to use Google Pay linked to PayPal to try to trigger the discount…then the sign on the POS machine shows a PayPal icon so I asked what this meant. They figured it out. Used QR code and it rejected my VGC that I put behind it so switched to another one. Bought some stuff and I was over charged $1.80 because someone put the price in the computer wrong. And my cart my broken. I’d be high all day if I had to work there, but it actually appeared no one was.
