It looks like Ollie’s sells gift cards; if that’s the case, you can buy a $50 gift card in-store to trigger the $10 statement credit. I’m not sure if their stores have a gift card rack selling third party gift cards, but if they do then that could be an even better use of this Amex Offer.
Based upon occasional visits to one nearby location I saw their own GC, but never third party gift cards. Note that Ollie’s did not previously accept Amex, so the Amex offer was a surprise to me.
Ollie’s is not an impressive store, but I have found a few good clearance discounts on seasonal items, The location nearest me, is in a mall that includes a recently closed Walmart, so it’s interesting that Ollie’s could survive but not WM.
I’d heard of them before because I think my mother-in-law sometimes visited the one near us where we used to live in Virginia, but I’ve never actually stepped foot in one myself.
