This is a fantastic offer because getting $50 bonus cashback on $250 of gift cards is a 20% return which will make that profitable for reselling. It can be stacked with the regular cashback offered from MyGiftCardsPlus or the gift card deals they sometimes run which offer up to 20% cashback.
The Upromise Mastercard currently has a welcome bonus of $150 $200 on $500 of spend ($200 bonus ends on November 30, 2021) which isn’t bad as far as cashback cards go. It earns 1.529% cashback if it’s deposited into a 529 plan or 1.25% if it’s not. 1.25% cashback isn’t amazing, but the welcome bonus and this new MyGiftCardsPlus offer make it a little more interesting, especially if Upromise and MyGiftCardsPlus run this kind of promotion periodically. MyGiftCardsPlus and Upromise are owned by the same company, (Prodege), so it’s not too surprising seeing a partnership like this.
With an expiry date of December 31, there’s plenty of time to apply for the card today and take advantage of the MyGiftCardsPlus offer before it expires. Whether it’s worth a 5/24 slot though is up to you.
