Microsoft Store sells Xbox gift cards, so this Amex Offer is a way to lock in a 15% discount on those.
I don’t know if shopping portals track gift card purchases from the Microsoft Store, but it’s worth clicking through from one anyway just in case they do – here are the current rates.

Stephen, do you know if it’s always been like this for Amex: if I get the same offer on two Amex cards, once I activate the offer for one card, I cannot activate the same offer for the other as it will disappear upon my activation on one of the cards.
I don’t recall Amex doing this until later last year, as I do remember earlier last year I had very similar offers for Lululemon and were able to activate and use them on both Amex cards.
That’s been the case for many years where the offer is the same. Sometimes they’ll offer similar offers like “Spend $100 and get $20 back” and “Spend $100 & get 2,000 Membership Rewards” – in those cases you can load one of each offer to different cards. Were the Lululemon offers like that?
In the past you could load the same offer to all your cards if you had it on them, but they got rid of the ability to do that for most offers a few years ago.
Ah I see. You’re right that the Lululemon offers are similar but slightly different: one is $20 back; the other is 2,000 Membership Rewards. That’s why I was able to use them twice. Then it must have been a while since Amex only allowed using the same offer once.
So even if we pay annual membership fees separately, yet we cannot use all the offers if we have multiple Amex cards compared to only holding one Amex card.
My offer is $150 off $1000.
