Tips & Ideas
This is different to Meijer’s more common type of gift card deal which offers a $5 reward for every $50 spent on gift cards. With that other type of deal you pay full price for the gift card and get rewards for future use, whereas this offer gives a 10% instant discount. With a maximum discount of $50, you’ll max this out when spending $500.
Note that several gift card brands are excluded including Amazon, but other high value brands are eligible like Best Buy, Home Depot and eBay. Meijer used to exclude iTunes gift cards back when those were a thing, but they’ve not added an exclusion now that they’re Apple gift cards. I’m not sure if there’s an unlisted exclusion for Apple, so be sure to check how much is being charged if buying one of those.
You can load the digital coupon now, but this offer is only valid on December 20. I’ll republish this post on Sunday morning once it’s live.
if this is mejir why do you have a best buy logo?
Best Buy gift cards don’t often go on sale, so being able to buy them at 10% off represents the best brand to buy for many people.
Is this only avat in storet
Yep, Meijer doesn’t sell gift cards online unfortunately.
I tried buying $200 and $50 ebay gift cards this morning and the discount only applied to the $200 one. The language on the coupon said that it should apply to the total gift card purchase up to $500. Did anyone else have this issue?
Yes, same issue here. Just one $200 card got the discount. Mperks said in the future we could call and they would give us a credit for future purchases… but that defeats the purpose of an “instant” discount.
