Instead, this offer gives you a 10% instant discount on up to $500 worth of gift cards. On the one hand that’s better because it means you get the savings instantly. However, the benefit of the other type of deal is that you get a full $500 worth of spend on a card that earns more at grocery stores, whereas this deal “only” gives you $450 of spend.

Some brands are excluded like Amazon and Apple, but plenty of other high value cards are eligible like Best Buy, Home Depot, Nike, eBay, Disney and Foot Locker.
