This is a fairly good deal seeing as it can be done 10 times. It should be possible to buy one $500 Happy gift card rather than 10x $50 cards.

Note that it’s not an instant discount; instead, each $5 reward is loaded within a couple of hours, although it’s sometimes quicker than that. Also note that when redeeming the $5 rewards, you lose any partial credits that you don’t use. For example, if your subsequent shopping trip comes to $17.63 and you use four $5 rewards, you’ll lose $2.37 – I’ve made that mistake before.
