This deal seems to come around every 2-3 month or so and has the potential to be a good deal. It’s obviously disappointing that VGCs, MGCs, Amazon gift cards, etc. are excluded. However, buying gift cards for eBay, Best Buy and other could still be profitable for reselling.

Note that the $5 doesn’t come off straight away – it’s loaded to your mPerks card and provides a discount off your next shopping trip. If you buy the gift cards as soon as you get to Meijer, the rewards will hopefully be available by the time you check out if you do a grocery shop after that.
