Tips & Ideas
TopCashback is now officially offering 4% cashback for existing users, but MaxRebates is currently even more generous than that seeing as they’re offering 6% cashback for existing users.
I’ve no idea how reliable MaxRebates is though because I’ve not tried using them up until now. Their referral program seems strangely generous and they offer some surprisingly good rates for certain retailers, although perhaps they’re trying to capture market share. A few commenters on this Reddit thread mention tracking issues and subsequently not being paid, so there’s definitely some risk with this one.
I’ll likely stick to the (almost) sure thing of 4% with TopCashback, but wanted to give you a heads up in case you wanted to risk going with MaxRebates in order to earn an additional 2%. That extra 2% could certainly mount up if you do a lot of volume in the app if it does track correctly, but for me 4% in the hand is worth 6% in the bush.
TCB has a matching program. Email them to let them know and they should match the cashback. I’ve personally never tried it since TCB is usually the highest.
That’s a great point about their cashback match program – I’d forgotten about that. Unfortunately it looks like they only match to five other shopping portals and MaxRebates isn’t one of them.
About 20% of my slide purchases don’t track on TCB.
If you submit claims for them you should get paid.
If anyone is using Max Rebates for cash back, be aware.
When I asked for a check for all the cashback I have, they canceled my request and sent me an email saying they need to verify my orders because the system thinks my order was fraudulent, that’s why I couldn’t withdraw the cash back. They ask for the screenshot of 15 of my orders, including the Order date, Order number, Order details, Order amount, and Shipping Confirmation (proof that the items have been completed/shipped to me) or proof that these items/purchases were already paid and completed.
They are absolutely SCAM.
