Tips & Ideas
This has come at the perfect time for me as we’re in the middle of a paid Residence Inn stay. If you don’t have any upcoming Marriott stays though, you should be able to buy a $300 or $250 gift card at a front desk to lock in the 15%/20% discount. That’s assuming you can find a Marriott property that a) has gift cards and b) knows how to process them.
These offers are presumably targeted as I had the $300/$45 offer on several of my cards, while my wife had the $250/$50 offer on several of her cards. Even better, we both had it available on Marriott Bonvoy cards, so we’ll also earn 6x to sweeten the deal.
Do gift cards trigger even though it specifies “Excludes gift card purchases” and “Offer only valid on room rate and room charges”?
Like escot mentioned, it’s worked in the past. You just have to make sure you buy them from a front desk rather than online in order to trigger the offer.
