Tips & Ideas
Giving Good gift cards work in a similar way to Happy gift cards in that they can be used at the retailers or restaurants listed on the card. They’re ‘Swap’ cards which means you redeem them online and get regular gift card(s) for whichever brand(s) you pick.
You’ll also earn 4x fuel points on the purchase which can be worth up to 14%, so that could help make the deal more viable from a reselling perspective if you get any value from those fuel points.
One word of caution with this deal: There have been reports that Kroger eGift cards can’t be used in-store. I don’t know if that’s a problem afflicting all stores, or if it’s just some stores that aren’t set up to accept them (my understanding is that it’s the former). If that means you can only redeem them when placing online grocery orders with Kroger, that’ll limit the appeal a little.
I use Kroger e-gift cards in store. The problem I’ve run into is that so far, no cashier has known how to use them properly even though instructions are printed right on the gift card. They eventually figure it out even if they have to get a manager to key in the gift card manually. Seems more like a training issue.
