While writing about the AMC Theatres gift card deal at Kroger, I noticed that they were offering 4x fuel points on the purchase. That was a bit strange as their 4x deal ended a couple of days ago.
When looking at the main gift card landing page on Kroger’s website though, there’s a banner stating that they’re offering 4x fuel points on gift cards through Easter. Easter Sunday is on April 12 this year, so 4x will presumably be available at least until then. The banner only displays third party gift cards, but if you click through to Visa and Mastercard gift cards, those are earning 4x too.
This deal is definitely available online, although I’m not sure right now if it’ll also be available in-store. I don’t remember Kroger ever offering a 4x deal online when it wasn’t simultaneously available in-store, so I suspect in-store gift card purchases will work. The reason I’m not certain about that though is that in-store gift card purchases normally require that you load a 4x digital coupon to your account. When checking my Kroger Plus account, there aren’t any 4x digital coupons listed, so I’m not sure if they’re simply not requiring a digital coupon this time or if 4x is only available online.
