It’s a shame that the 4x fuel points can only be earned on vacation gift cards rather than all gift cards, but it’s still a good deal if you’ll be spending at any of the included brands.

It’s interesting seeing Hyatt listed as I’ve never been able to find their gift cards at Kroger stores, so hopefully they’ll start becoming available.

In case you’re not familiar with how Kroger’s fuel points scheme works, 100 fuel points are worth 10c off per gallon on up to 35 gallons. Spending $250 on qualifying gift cards during this promotion will therefore earn you 1,000 fuel points worth up to $1 off per gallon. If you can fill up to the maximum of 35 gallons, you’re effectively saving 14%. That’s great value for many of these brands as it’s not often that you can buy gift cards for Disney, Uber, Airbnb, etc. at larger discounts than that.

Be sure to pay with a credit card that earns a bonus at grocery stores to make this even more rewarding. We’re in the last few days of Discover offering 5% at grocery stores, but the Chase Freedom card will be offering 5% from April 1 to June 30.
