While it’s a shame that not all third party gift cards are eligible, the dining, entertainment and Happy gift card categories cover a wide range of brands including some high value brands like Google Play and Apple/iTunes.
What’s particularly interesting is that Kroger is counting some non-Happy-branded gift cards as Happy gift cards. I’d covered them last week when I first noticed that they’d been launched; there are Giving Good gift cards and other Happy-esque cards which are listed on Kroger’s Happy gift card page and thus eligible for earning 4x with this promotion. That widens the range of gift card brands you can earn 4x on seeing as non-dining or entertainment retailers like Home Depot are included on those cards.
