Tips & Ideas
There are some great deals here for personal use, as well as one or two deals that might be of interest for resellers.
In case you’re not familiar with how these Ibotta gift card deals work, on the home page of the app scroll down to the ‘Shop By Category’ section. In that list there should be an option called ‘Gift cards (formerly Pay with Ibotta)’. If you don’t see that, it might mean that you’re not targeted. However, try closing the app and opening it again because that option disappeared from my wife’s Ibotta account this evening but showed up again after closing and reopening it.
You buy the gift cards for full price in the Ibotta app, but your account is immediately credited with however much cashback you should earn, similar to how Fluz works. For example, if you buy a $250 Adidas gift card with 15% cashback, you’ll pay $250 but will receive $37.50 in your Ibotta account which can be cashed out via ACH or PayPal.
One downside to Ibotta is that they don’t accept credit card payment – you can only pay with debit cards. PayPal Key seems to be blocked (but it’s worth a try anyway in case it works for you), while the Point debit card doesn’t earn cashback on gift card purchases from Ibotta and so there’s no benefit there. The PayPal Business Debit Mastercard does earn 1% cashback on Ibotta gift card purchases though; crypto debit cards might work too, but I’ve never tested that out.
