Tips & Ideas
There are some pretty good deals here for personal use, although deals that are good for reselling are more limited, especially because you have to pay with a debit card rather than a credit card. The Point debit card doesn’t earn points on gift card purchases from Ibotta, but the PayPal Business Debit Mastercard does earn 1% cashback.
To access these deals, on the home screen of the Ibotta app scroll down to the ‘Shop By Category’ section and select ‘Gift Cards’ there. If you don’t see that as an option, it means you’re not targeted for this feature.
Is it easy to get a PayPal Business Debit Mastercard or does one need a real business?
If you set up a PayPal Business account, you can get the PayPal Business Debit Mastercard. I don’t think PayPal asks for verification of your business, although it’s been several years since I set up my account that way.
