Does anyone know if you get 30c off per gallon for every $50 spent or only on the first $50 spent? For example, if you spend $100 on eligible gift cards, do you get 60c off or only 30c? If you know, please let me know in the comments below as I haven’t been able to find out how that part of Hy-Vee’s fuel discounts work.
Scouted this one out. Bought $100 of Gamestop and got $0.60 off per gallon. I tried again with $60 and got $0.30 off per gallon.
The $0.60 off per gallon was broke down on receipt as $0.40 off per gallon plus $0.20 off per gallon. The $0.20 off per gallon was standard per $100 GC spend you’d get every day at HyVee. The $0.40 off per gallon was added to make it $0.60 off per gallon; which is in line with this promo.
The $0.30 off per gallon was broke down on receipt as $0.20 off per gallon plus $0.10 off per gallon. The $0.10 off per gallon was standard per $50 GC spend you’d get every day at HyVee. The $0.20 off per gallon was added to make it $0.30 off per gallon; which is in line with this promo.
The HyVee rewards program has tiers to it. $0.05 off per gallon of $25 GC spend; $0.10 off per gallon of $50 GC spend & $0.20 off per gallon of $100 GC spend. One would be best to buy GCs that are in $25 increments as anything different would be ‘forfeited’ for earning rewards. My little experiment confirms this.
