The Deal

Key Terms

- Both you and your friend must be opted into Google Pay rewards to be eligible.
- Your friend must be new to Google Pay and must not have accepted any previous referrals.
- Your friend needs to make a qualifying transaction of $10 or more.
- While supplies last, for each of your first 5 completed referrals you could get $11 for yourself and $5 for your eligible referred friend when they sign up with your unique referral code and make their first qualifying payment of $10 or more within the offer period (February 6-7, 2021). These include:
- Sending money to a friend they haven’t paid before, or
- Making a contactless payment in-store (NFC-enabled Android phones only).
- 5 referral reward maximum applies. Only your first 5 referrals completed during the offer period will be eligible for rewards.
Tips & Ideas
Google Pay offered a more generous referral deal in December as they were giving both parties $21. I’ve no clue if a deal as good as that will return if you missed out, so it’s up to you if you want to hold out for a better referral deal if you haven’t used the new Google Pay app. If you do decide to wait, it’ll mean you’ll miss out on any other deals they run in the meantime, so that’s something to bear in mind.
If you have a partner and neither of you have signed up yet, you could earn $21 between you. P1 can earn $5 from using someone’s referral link (feel free to use mine 😉 ), then P1 can refer P2. P2 would earn $5 and P1 would earn $11 for a total of $21.
