This is a great deal as buying a $500 Visa gift card will earn you 1,500 Gas Rewards Points. That can in turn save you $1.50 per gallon on up to 20 gallons at Giant and Stop & Shop. If you can fill to that 20 gallon limit, you’d be saving $30 which far outweighs the activation fee.
According to Escot’s comment on a similar past deal, the Martin’s gas scheme works a little differently as it’s good on up to 25 gallons and there’s no limit on the discount, making this an even sweeter deal if you have a Martin’s store near you.
