This is a great couple of offers this week. Every $500 Mastercard gift card you buy can save you up to $20 on gas, so that more than offsets the activation fee. The $20 savings is based on filling up with 20 gallons of gas, but even filling up with 6 gallons would be break even.
As for the Happy gift cards, buying a $100 gift card will also save you up to $20 on gas. If you can use some of the Happy brands to buy third party gift cards at other stores this could be profitable for reselling, even before taking into account credit card rewards for paying with a card that earns more at grocery stores.
