This deal has the potential to be profitable for gift card reselling, but due to the nature of how the Fuelperks+ program works, its profitability depends on how much you spend on groceries or fuel.
If you bought a $100 Happy gift card, you’d earn 200 Fuelperks+. If you use them towards groceries, you’ll save 8%. Spending $100 on groceries will save you $8 or 8% of the amount spent on Happy gift cards; spending $200 on groceries will save you $16 or 16% of the Happy card value.
As an alternative, the 200 Fuelperks+ could be used to save 40c per gallon of fuel, up to 30 gallons. If you can refuel your vehicle(s) to that 30 gallon limit, you’d save $12 or 12% of the amount spent on Happy gift cards.
