The value of this deal will depend on how much you spend on groceries or how many gallons you can fill your vehicle(s) with in one go.
Let’s say you bought $100 of Home Depot gift cards. That would result in you having 150 Fuelperks+ which can be redeemed for either 6% off your next grocery shop or 30c off per gallon on up to 30 gallons. If you subsequently spend $100 on groceries, you’re effectively only saving 6% based on your original purchase of Home Depot gift cards. Spend $200 on groceries though and you’re saving 12% – a much better deal and potentially profitable for reselling.
If you instead redeemed your Fuelperks+ for gas, filling up with 30 gallons means you’d save $9. That’s therefore a better option if you’d spend less than $150 on groceries. If your car doesn’t take 30 gallons though, you’d have to adjust your fuel savings down.
