This works out to be a 7.5% discount which might make it a break even/slightly profitable deal if you’re a gift card reseller, although that’ll depend on the rates available to you.

This deal is available both online and in-store. The link to the online offer is above, while you can take advantage of the offer in-store without needing to load a digital coupon. Although there’s a limit of 1, that’s per transaction rather than per person. If you want to buy more than one, simply pay for the $200 Best Buy gift cards in separate transactions.

There are a couple of ways to make this an even better deal. First, Giant Eagle has a fuel rewards scheme called fuelperks! You earn a 10c discount per gallon on up to 30 gallons for every $50 spent on gift cards. I’m not too familiar with the Giant Eagle fuelperks! scheme, so I’m not sure if this deal will be classed as $200 (in which case you’d save 40c per gallon) or $185 (in which case you’d save 30c per gallon). If you were able to fill up to the full 30 gallon limit, you’d save an additional $9 or $12 depending on whether you save 30c or 40c per gallon.

The second way to save/be rewarded is by using a credit card that earns more at grocery stores. For example, the Discover card is earning 5% from January-March 2019, the Amex Gold card earns 4x Membership Rewards at grocery stores, etc. This is the case for in-store purchases – I’m not sure how online purchases will code.

When taking into account fuelperks! and credit card rewards, this deal might be profitable even if you can’t resell the gift cards at 92.5% or higher.
