I was able to place one order using GameStop gift cards but when I tried to do it again for a second order, it says,”Oops! We can’t process your payment. Please select a different payment method or contact Customer Care at 1-800-883-8895″
I think they stoped that method of payment because I called them and they said I should be able to place an order buying a gift card using another gift card :-/
Hi Ahmed, the same thing happened to me as well. My guess is on their back end, there’s a limit of one order using GameStop gift card within a certain time period (likely more than 24 hours, as I tried to place another gift card after 24 hours, but it won’t work then). Also I think GameStop may have a way to associate two separate accounts, as I tried to place another order with a different account, but it didn’t work either, dunno if it’s because of IP address or billing address.
I totally agree with you. The same thing with me. I registered another email to use but the same problem. I guess as you said it might be the IP Address or Billing Address. I’ll try using VPN and try again by changing my IP. I’ll report back if I got any luck 🙂
Thanks a lot Ahmed. It’s a bummer that GameStop only allows one gift card order using GameStop gift card. I tried this on the desktop and mobile web and in the app and got the same error message. When I say I waited more than 24 hours to try again, I waited more than 24 hours since when the first order was delivered with the code, didn’t work either.
It’s a bummer that it’s hard to liquidate GameStop gift cards and trade credits now as promotion is rare.
I tried to change my IP address using VPN and didn’t work. I also tried to play with the billing address and didn’t work. I guess we don’t have a choice 🙁
Thanks Ahmed for this update. I think we just have to wait when there’s a promotion or buy gaming related gift cards like Xbox. Might be a good lesson not to stock up too many GameStop gift cards.
An update – GameStop has 15% off $100 Uber Eats gift card today. I was able to purchase three in one order using my gift card and trade credits just now.

Thanks for the heads-up! Now, I know why my transaction did not go through. I’ll try it again tomorrow, and hopefully the discount is still available.
Update: It works again two days after my first purchase. However, one gift card was not applied when I tried to check out using my computer. (The gift card had balance, but the checkout page didn’t read the balance.) Later, I used GameStop app, and it worked perfect.
