Fluz made a change to the app yesterday and is now requiring that you verify any credit or debit card that you add to the app and want to use for the first time.
The process is fairly easy. When using a new card for the first time, the app will prompt you to verify the card. This is done by them placing a small hold on your card – usually $1-$3. Log in to your credit or debit card account online and check the pending transactions, then enter that amount in the Fluz app. Your card will then be verified.
Once you’ve verified the card, the hold seems to drop off almost instantaneously. I’ve used Fluz to liquidate some Visa gift cards in the past and the hold dropped off within seconds of verifying those cards.
While it’s slightly inconvenient doing this if you want to use a number of different credit or debit cards for the first time, it’s good that Fluz is taking fraud prevention seriously. Verifying your card also increases the amount you can spend each month in the app on that card, so it’s not a bad thing having to verify the card if you’re planning on doing any volume.
Hey Stephen, what’s your refer code for Fluz?
Thanks for asking – it’s https://joinfluz.app.link/STEPHENJPEPPER99561099
