Fandango sometimes offers promo cards worth 20% of the value of the gift card. That type of offer generally isn’t worth it seeing as you can often get 20% discounts on Fandango gift cards which is a better offer as the discount is larger and the promo cards expire.
This offer is double the reward though which is definitely worth doing if you know you’ll spend $40+ on concessions at eligible movie theaters before January 17, 2020. Given how expensive movie theater snacks are, the $40 might get you a 1/4 cup of popcorn, although I might be overestimating how generous AMC, Regal, et al are.
