• During the offer, which runs from 5/11/20 through 5/18/20 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 2,020 AAdvantage miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard AAdvantage miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.
• This one-time bonus award will be determined based on the number of individual “qualifying purchases” of $50 or more during the Bonus Period using one of the following Tiers:
  • Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for 1 individual qualifying purchase of $50 or more;
  • Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for 2 individual qualifying purchases of $50 or more;
  • Tier 3 bonus: 1,500 miles for 3 individual qualifying purchases of $50 or more;
  • Tier 4 bonus: 2,020 miles for 4 or more individual qualifying purchases of $50 or more.
• “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.

• Please allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus miles to post to your AAdvantage eShopping account.
• The Tier 4 bonus provides the maximum number of miles that will be awarded per member.

Tips & Ideas

A few things to note with these offers:

• You have to register in order to earn bonus miles
• You earn the bonus miles for every $50 transaction for American and United, so spending $200+ in one transaction will still only earn you 500 bonus miles rather than 2,020. With Alaska, you earn for every $75 transaction.
• The Alaska Airlines offer page is saying the offer has expired at the time of writing this post. That’ll hopefully be updated soon.

These bonuses can earn you up to 10x per dollar which is an excellent return, especially if you’re spending close to $50 for each transaction (or 6.67x for $75 transactions with Alaska). As always with these portal promos, there’s an exclusion for gift cards. That doesn’t seem to be enforced for purchases from Raise and GiftCards.com though, so you should be able to buy gift cards from them to earn the bonus miles.

If you’ll be buying gift cards from Raise, remember that you’ll need to actually spend $50/$75 to earn the bonus; buying a $50/$75 gift card won’t work seeing as it’ll be discounted and so will cost less than the $50/$75 needed to trigger the bonus.
