Tips & Ideas
These in-store offers don’t exclude gift cards, so it should be possible to buy up to $187.50 in gift cards (based on the $15 maximum cashback) to take advantage of this deal.
While that’s not a great deal for Gap gift cards, there might be a couple of additional plays here. Many Old Navy stores have a gift card rack carrying third party gift cards including Amazon, so if Gap and/or Banana Republic stores have the same thing, this could be a good way of saving 8% on more valuable gift card brands.
Gap and Banana Republic are also available for some in-store shopping portals like Rakuten and Alaska Airlines. Although gift card purchases are excluded, they might still track, but I wouldn’t necessarily count on that working.
