The Deal

• Earn 4% cashback at Office Depot/OfficeMax when paying with a card linked in the Dosh app.
• My Dosh referral link (I’ll earn $10 when you sign up and connect and verify your first card, but I’m not entirely sure what you’ll receive as a signup bonus. It used to be $5, then they reduced it to $1 a few months ago, but I’m not sure if it’s gone back up now or not.)

Tips & Ideas

Dosh has offered 6% at Office Depot and OfficeMax a few times recently, but those occasions have only been one-day deals. This 4% rate isn’t as good (although still better than the standard 2% earning rate), but it’s good for the next four days. Seeing as there’s a limit of $10 cashback per day, that’s more useful as it means you can earn $80 on your account during the promo period rather than only $10 when the 6% promo runs.

Office Depot/OfficeMax don’t seem to be running a Visa or Mastercard gift card promotion this week, but it could still be worth buying some from there anyway, especially if you have a Chase Ink Cash or Ink Plus card seeing as those earn 5x Ultimate Rewards. Here’s how the math works out in a couple of scenarios:

Buy 1x $200 Visa or Mastercard gift card

• Cost = $206.95 (due to $6.95 purchase fee)
• Dosh cashback = $8.28
• Ultimate Rewards = 1,035

Buy 2x $200 Visa or Mastercard gift cards

• Cost = $413.90
• Dosh cashback = $10 (due to $10 limit)
• Ultimate Rewards = 2,070

The first scenario is better cashback-wise as what you earn from Dosh more than covers the purchase fees, whereas with the second scenario you’ll still pay net fees of $3.90. However, that could still be worth it seeing as you’ll earn an additional 1,035 Ultimate Rewards on that spend which is worth more than $3.90.

Also link your payment card in the Bitmo app to earn 1x Perk Point per dollar (worth 0.1%). Payce also offers 5% cashback at Office Depot/OfficeMax, but maximum cashback is limited to $5 per month.
