(EXPIRED) Dollar General: Save 5% On Lowe’s Gift Cards, 10-12.5% On Select Restaurant Gift Cards

The Deal

• Dollar General has a couple of different gift card deals this week:
  • Save 5% on Lowe’s gift cards.
  • Save $5 when buying two of the following gift card brands:
    • Domino’s
    • Chili’s
    • IHOP
    • Darden
    • Brinker
• Direct link to weekly ad (see page 3).

Tips & Ideas

There have been a ton of Lowe’s gift card deals this past week offering 10% off (plus the Lowe’s 10% Amex Offer is still going), so 5% off isn’t as enticing as it might normally be. Having said that, if you’ve maxed out the other offers and need Lowe’s gift cards for personal use, a 5% discount is worthwhile, especially seeing as you can buy more than one (albeit in separate transactions).

With the restaurant gift card deal, with $10 cards and Darden variable load cards being excluded, the minimum spend to get the $5 discount will be $40-$50. That means you’d be saving 10%-12.5% which is OK for personal use, but unlikely to be worth it for reselling.
