Costco started selling these Alaska Airlines gift cards for 10% off in November 2020 and sold them for something like 6 months. This discount returned for about 6 months from October 2021-April 2022, but disappeared after that, so it’s great to see them make a return.
Other than this discount from Costco, we don’t normally see discounts like this for Alaska Airlines other than the occasional Chase Offer, so it’s great that you can buy up to $2,500 of Alaska Airlines gift cards at a discount.
I certainly wouldn’t stock up speculatively, but if you know you’ll definitely be flying with them in the coming months, this is a nice opportunity to pick up some savings.

Careful, they can take a while to “ship”.
For anyone else that wants to know how it works in the real world: I purchased yesterday (Sunday) and got the code 22 hours later. Before that, I purchased one Thursday 4/1/22 and it took 13 hours.
It’s only 5 per membership now, so up to $2500, not $5000.

I’d totally jump on this if they didn’t implement the new rules on priority boarding and free checked bags requiring tickets to be purchased with the Alaska card.
Fwiw, I bought a flight using a companion pass partially paying with gift card balance. It’s from a legacy business credit card so not sure if terms have been updated on it to use Alaska credit card to pay for the ticket.
