While 25% off gift cards sounds good, it’s really not. This is only valid on $25 gift cards which usually cost 8,000 points, so the discount reduces that to 6,000 points. That means you’d be redeeming at a 0.42cpp rate which is poor value for Choice Privileges points.
Another reason not to do it is because even though the email from Choice says it’ll cost 6,000 points, they’re still charging 8,000 points.
