This isn’t bad if you’ll be taking a few domestic award flights before December 31 as it’ll be easy to drain the $25 promo card that way. As Greg notes though, you can’t use the promo card and a gift card in the same transaction which makes it less useful as it means you’ll have to pay the balance of a flight’s cost in cash when using the $25 promo card.
