If you’ve not come across this type of CashStar/Best Buy deal before, note that the $10 savings code isn’t a regular Best Buy gift card. It’s actually a code that’s only valid for a couple of weeks which greatly reduces its usefulness. The $10 savings codes therefore can’t be resold in the same way that you can resell the regular $100 gift card.
In the past it was possible to use these $10 savings codes to buy third party gift cards, but there have been reports that some Best Buy stores no longer allow you to do this. That doesn’t seem to be across the board though as I’ve seen reports where people have still been able to use these codes for that purpose. I think it’s been a few months since the last deal like this though, so Best Buy could potentially have hardcoded their system in the meantime to not allow third party gift card purchases, so be prepared for that possibility.
