Update 9/2/20: Bitmo has confirmed that everyone who participated in this promotion has had the expiry date on their $10 Lowe’s gift cards removed, so they’re regular gift cards now.
Update 9/1/20: I emailed Bitmo yesterday at [email protected] asking them to replace the $10 promo cards which expired within 24 hours with proper gift cards. I’ve received a reply from them advising that they have indeed done that.
I’ve also replied to them asking if they’ll be replacing the promo cards for every person who took advantage of the promotion, so I’ll update this post once I hear back about that. In the meantime, I recommend emailing them yourself if you participated in this promotion.
Update 8/31/20: Bitmo appears to be playing stupid games with this promotion. The $10 Lowe’s “gift” cards are available in the app now, but don’t access them yet.
The app is saying they expire on September 14, 2020 which in itself is ridiculous, but it gets worse. Apparently if you actually view the card details, the value expires in 24 hours. It’s therefore not an actual Lowe’s gift card and is barely even a promo card seeing as you only have a day in which to use it.
This wasn’t mentioned in the app or their email about the offer, so it’s completely unacceptable. I’ve reached out to Bitmo to ask them to replace the $10 cards in my wife and my accounts, so I suggest you do the same.
Update: When using this offer, it initially takes $0.01 off the price. While that makes it look like the offer isn’t working correctly, I received a text from Bitmo afterwards confirming that I’d used the promotion, so I expect to receive the $10 card on Monday.
I can also confirm that this offer does expire on August 30.

Tips & Ideas
This offer is listed as ‘Gift $50 to Lowe’s – get $10 Lowe’s gift card for you’. That therefore suggests this is one of Bitmo’s offers where you have to actually send the gift card in order to get the bonus, but their recent Uber Eats/DoorDash promo had some similar wording and you didn’t end up having to send a gift card.
Still, it’s probably best to do this promotion by sending the Lowe’s gift card to someone else just in case as there’s no way of knowing for sure ahead of time if buying a $50 gift card for yourself will trigger the bonus.
It says the bonus card will be delivered on August 31, so it’s likely that this promotion will end on August 30 as the bonus cards from that Uber Eats/DoorDash promo weren’t sent until the offer had expired.
Hope it works, but when I entered in the promo code, it took off 1 cent.
I had that too, but also received a text from Bitmo confirming that I’d used the promotion.
I think this is just how Bitmo shows its promo card. I remember the last couple promo card also have 24 hours timer. I doubt the gift cards will actually expire in 24 hours. I think It may disappear from the wallet after 24 hours but the card will stay activate.
I saw data points elsewhere recently that on a different Bitmo promo, the value on the card disappeared when they said it would, so I’d be cautious with waiting if you’ve already viewed the gift card details.
It wouldn’t make any sense for the cards to disappear after 24 hours but still be valid because any other cards you buy from them are always accessible in the app.
I couldn’t even find any contact info in the app for Bitmo. Their General terms and conditions state bonus cards may have an expiration date but I have yet to find any expiration date for this specific promotion. Hopefully they will make this right.
You can email them at [email protected]
Thanks, I did find a way to email them under one of the FAQ. I sent them a nice message that they need to find a solution so this promotion is acceptable for everyone. We will have to wait and see if they do anything.
Bitmo replied to my email and replaced my expiring $10 Lowe’s gift card with one that doesn’t expire.
Yep, I’ve just received the same email.
