This is a quick and easy way to get a $5 gift card. Simply click through to the Carma Project’s website above, enter your VIN or license plate, the state your vehicle is registered in and provide your phone number. After entering your phone number, you’ll receive a text from Bitmo providing a code to enter in their app. You can enter it by going to Account > Promo Codes.
The purpose of this is to check if you have a Takata airbag in your car; these airbags were recalled a couple of years ago due to safety issues, so this is another initiative to encourage owners to get their airbag(s) replaced for free.
Our Toyota Corolla had a Takata airbag, so we got it fixed after receiving a notification in the mail about the recall. Despite that, I was still able to get a $5 gift card as you’re eligible for the gift card regardless of whether or not you actually have an airbag that needs replacing.
If you’ve never used Bitmo before, download the app and enter promo code BETTERGIFT5 first. That’ll get you a free $5 gift card, then enter the code from the text Bitmo sends you to get an additional $5 gift card for free. Bitmo provides the opportunity to exchange the gift card, so you don’t have to keep the Domino’s gift card. Once it’s been awarded, go to Wallet > Exchange to swap it for a different card. Note that not all the gift card brands listed on Bitmo are available in $5 denominations, so you’ll need to exchange it for one that is offered in that denomination.
