8x points is worth 4% off groceries, so not huge savings but better than nothing. These stores ordinarily offer 3x points on gift card purchases and I forget if that stacks with the 8x promo or if the 8x incorporates those 3x earnings, thereby being 5x bonus points. If they stack, that means you’ll earn a total of 11x which is worth 5.5% off groceries.
It can get better still if you were targeted for a new Mystery Bonus Coupon as that definitely will stack. I received one for 20x, so that would mean I’d earn 28x or 31x on Happy gift cards which is 14% or 15.5% respectively. You can also earn a Mystery Bonus Coupon when spending $30 on groceries.
