Tips & Ideas

This works out to be a 2.5x bonus per dollar when spending exactly $200, although it’s unlikely you’d spend that precise amount and so in reality it’s unlikely to be as good as 2.5x.

As always, the terms exclude gift card purchases, but that seems to be more of a reference to the fact that most retailers don’t offer cashback/rewards on gift cards through shopping portals. A couple of exceptions are Raise and GiftCards.com; because those are eligible retailers in the shopping portal, spending $200+ with them should trigger the 500 mile bonus.

When there’s a bonus offered on one shopping portal, bonuses on other portals tend to follow in the proceeding days/weeks. I therefore wouldn’t be surprised if the Alaska and United shopping portals offer a similar bonus soon.
