Tips & Ideas
This offer is targeted as some are seeing 10% off with a limit of $10, while others are seeing 30% off with a limit of $30. That might mean there’s also a version of the offer giving 20% off with a limit of $20. This offer is also likely targeted in that some people might not be eligible at all.
If you are targeted, be sure to only redeem one Membership Rewards point when checking out, because redeeming more than that is a poor use of your points.
These deals work when buying third party gift cards (i.e. not Amazon gift cards themselves), so it’s a great way to save 10%-30% on those. Amazon sells some high value gift card brands like Best Buy, so that can be a good option for reselling if there aren’t any gift cards or merchandise you want to buy for personal use.
If you’re not targeted for this promotion, it might be possible to do the following steps to get yourself targeted. This had always worked in the past, but with a couple of recent Amex and Discover promos it didn’t work; still, it’s worth a try if you’re interested as all it costs you is a couple of minutes of your time.
- Delete any American Express cards already enrolled in Shop With Points from your payment methods on Amazon.
- Add at least one American Express card that earns Membership Rewards points back as a payment method.

- You probably won’t be able to activate the offer immediately, so try again every day for the next week or so and you should hopefully be successful.
