You can buy an Advance Auto Parts gift card in-store to lock in the 20% discount from this Amex Offer; buying a gift card online won’t work as payment for those is processed by SVM gift cards.
Be sure to try linking your Amex card in the Dosh app as that’s offering 3% cashback. That might not work because where I am in Albuquerque right now it says that only Visa and Mastercard cards are eligible for cashback from Advance Auto Parts. That might be regional though, so hopefully other areas will have stores where Amex cards are eligible in the Dosh app for Advance Auto Parts.
