Redeeming AARP Rewards points for gift cards is generally a poor deal. While this still isn’t an excellent deal, it’s better value than normal points redemptions for gift cards seeing as it works out to be 1,000 points per $1 of value.
Note that this doesn’t appear to be a regular $25 gift Marathon gift card though. Instead, it gives you 25c off per gallon on 100 gallons. That’s $25 of value, but it means you won’t be able to use its full value on just one fill-up.
