AARP Rewards has been killing it with decent Daily Deals this month and today is no exception. Being able to buy $100 worth of grocery store gift cards for $50 is an excellent deal if you’ve not already maxed out your limit of 5 discounted gift cards from them per month.
Do you need a paid AARP membership in order to take advantage of this?
I think so. It’s only $12 for the first year, so these Daily Deals pay for that many times over even if you don’t use any of the membership’s other benefits.

Is there some kind of notification from AARP that one can subscribe to that announces these daily deals? By the time I realize they are available, these deals are inevitably OOS.
They go live every weekday from 12pm-2pm, although the better deals sell out sooner than 2pm.

On Tuesdays, AARP Rewards sends an email to those subscribed to their newsletter listing the rest of the deals from Tuesday to Friday. Knowing what’s coming can help you know whether you need to be there at midday on any given day ready to buy.
