Tips & Ideas
This offer is listed as a way to save you 5% on your AARP membership, but past AARP Chase Offers have also worked when buying discounted gift cards from AARP Rewards.
This latest offer isn’t as good as past Chase Offers though. In the past, spending $12+ would give you an $8 statement credit. You can still earn $8 from this new offer, but you’d need to spend $160 to do that. That won’t be possible with most discounted gift cards sold by AARP Rewards as the best discounts are usually on $10 cards and the offer can only be used once.
Once upon a time you had posted what gift cards AARP would have for the daily deal for the entire week, may I ask if that is still out there somewhere on the AARP site so I don’t have to log in everyday?
I don’t think I’ve ever posted what the deals would be for each week as AARP doesn’t provide those details until Tuesday after we already know what that deal will be for that particular day.
At the start of each month I post a list of the best new deals for that month and at the end of the month I post a list of the gift cards you can still get for 20% off to use up your limit of 5 cards per month, so maybe it’s those ones you’re thinking of?
Hi Stephen,
That could be. When you say they don’t post the deals until Tuesday, do you mean they post the deals that will happen through the rest of that week?
Sort of. On the website they only post the next day’s deal at 2pm ET once that day’s deal has ended. However, AARP Rewards sends out an email (if you’re subscribed to them) on Tuesdays which lists the rest of that week’s deals.
Ah, that makes sense. Thank you.
