This is a special offer for Black Friday, but I don’t know if it’s due to expire today or perhaps in the next few days.
While you can take advantage of AARP Rewards Daily Deals without a membership, other gift card deals they run on a month-long basis often require a membership to buy them. I’ve found myself in that position before – such as this month if I don’t manage to snag Monday’s Daily Deal – so having an AARP membership is helpful as I can then buy some gift cards at a 20% discount to at least get some kind of deal this month.
AARP membership can get you other discounts too, such as on hotel stays, at museums and at some restaurants like Denny’s and Outback Steakhouse. I’ve had a membership for several years and it’s always paid for itself.
