Note that this offer works differently to most gift card deals at Dollar General. First, you have to load the digital coupon. You then buy a gift card for one of the listed brands and you’ll then receive a digital coupon in your Dollar General account within 24 hours giving you $5 off your next purchase of $5.01 or more. This therefore isn’t an instant discount and the $5 off $5.01 coupon can only be redeemed on merchandise, not other gift cards.
With regards to the limit, it’s not clear how many times you can do this offer per account. The ad says it’s a limit of one per transaction; the digital coupon says the same thing, but also on the same digital coupon it says there’s a limit of one per customer. These digital coupons usually have a limit of one per customer rather than per transaction, but perhaps that’ll be different this time. The usual limit of one for digital coupon deals is enforced through the use of needing an account with Dollar General to redeem it. That account requires a phone number and you can’t use Google Voice numbers which makes it harder to scale these types of deals normally.
