Update 4/21/24: Well, that’s quite the oopsie. Pepper Rewards has sent out an email today to those targeted for the 10% back on all brands through May 31, saying the following:
Oops! We made a mistake!
You may have received an email for 10% back at all merchants. It should ONLY apply to the merchants listed below and will run until 4/30/24 11:59pm ET.
We will honor all purchases made already thru 4/21/24 11:59pm ET at all stores.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact customer support at 1-888-416-6161 or [email protected]
If you’d originally received that 10% on all brands email, you have until tonight (April 21) to still have that be valid on all brands, then only the select brands listed below will apply. This will obviously be very disappointing for those who thought they’d be getting 10% back for almost 6 weeks, especially if they’d applied for new credit cards under the assumption that they’d be able to meet multiple minimum spend requirements this way.
I’ve no idea if this was a genuine mistake, or if Pepper Rewards saw the volume that was being ordered over the past 24-48 hours and realized that could cause them problems if it kept up through the end of May.

Tips & Ideas
If you’re targeted for the offer giving 10% back on all gift card purchases in the app, that’s an incredible deal seeing as it’s valid for more than five weeks.
Just be sure to carefully check the email you receive from Pepper Rewards though as some people have been targeted with a 10% offer, but only on the brands listed above. That’s still not bad though considering Nike is included.
Be sure to take into account how much risk you’re willing to take on with this deal though. With quite a few people being targeted for the 10% everywhere deal, Pepper Rewards will be paying out a huge chunk of cashback (in the form of coins in the app) on June 15. That’s just over two weeks after the end of the promotion and is almost two months from today. I’d therefore highly recommend that you cash out the 5% back that you get instantly, so that if something happened with the app, you’d only be missing out on the additional 5%. I have no reason to believe that will happen, but you need to look after yourself. I know some people are planning on doing five or six figure spend – possibly higher – with this deal seeing as it’s seemingly uncapped. If you were to spend $50,000, the 5% you’ll be waiting on until June 15 would amount to $2,500. If that $2,500 would be essential for you to be able to pay your bills, it’s worth stopping to seriously consider your risk. I’m certainly not saying you shouldn’t be taking advantage of this deal – I just want to make sure everyone targeted for the 10% on all brands offer is fully aware of the risk involved seeing as Pepper Rewards is such a new app.
Remember also that you can pay with an Amex Business Gold card to earn 4x Membership Rewards if this is one of your top two spending categories this billing period.
My cap seems to be $2500 in spend per rolling 24 hours. Is that standard for everyone?
I think it’s different for everyone. There are some DPs in the comments on the DoC post: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/pepper-rewards-app-buy-top-gift-card-brands-get-5-back-plus-20-20-referral-bonus/

Just got an email from them… OOPS We made a mistake! You may have received an email for 10% back at all merchants. It should ONLY apply to the merchants listed below and will run until 4/30/24. We will honor all purchases made already thru 4/21/20 11:59 PM ET at all stores.
I’d be wary of it in case they made a mistake with not sending everyone an email too. It’d be best for you to email them before making any purchases to get written confirmation that you are eligible still.
Looks like they disabled further purchases of any brands anyhow.
“Internal server error” AKA we shut things down
Just noticed that this list has Overstock… they don’t even sell it! Though they do BBB
