Update 6/26/23: This promotion was due to end a week ago, but has been extended through June 29.
Update 6/9/23: This promotion has now been greatly improved as the discount has been increased from 5% to 10%. As a result, that now makes this a moneymaking deal even before taking into account credit card reward earnings and hopefully rewards by clicking through from a shopping portal.

Tips & Ideas
Giftcards.com runs deals on virtual Visa gift cards several times per year, but this is one of the less interesting offers. That’s because it’s only valid on $100 denominations; I tried applying the promo code to $250 denominations and the promo code didn’t work. The reason that’s less interesting is because virtual Visa gift cards come with a $5.95 purchase fee regardless of denomination, so you’re paying a much higher fee percentage-wise when limited to $100 denominations.
You’ll max out this offer when buying six virtual Visa gift cards. Those will come with a total purchase fee amount of $35.70, with $30 being taken off with the promo code. That makes the net cost $605.70, so you’d be paying a total of $5.70 in purchase fees. If you can liquidate the cards easily, that might still be worth it for some as it works out to be a 0.95% purchase fee per card.
Click through from a shopping portal to earn cashback/rewards – here are the current rates. Check Capital One Shopping – both their website and app – and Capital One Offers as they sometimes offer higher rates on one or more of those. However, note that the use of the promo code might invalidate portal earnings.
These promotions usually have further codes added during the promotion, so I’ll add those if and when they come along.
There’s also a Giftcards.com Citi Offer giving 1.5% back as a statement credit.

Hopefully this isn’t what all future promotions will be like.
DON’T DO IT!
The more people who buy into this “downgrade” the greater the odds are they will continue to repeat this offer. Say bye, bye to the $250 VGC offers where the 6 card limit lets you do $1,500 on one order.
$100 cards aren’t worth the effort unless it’s like 20% off or something
