Tips & Ideas
These deals aren’t live yet – I think they’re going live on Black Friday, but I’m not sure if that’ll be 12am ET or 3am ET. I’ll republish this post once they’re live.
There are some very good deals here, especially Apple, Uber, Grubhub, Bath & Body Works, Panera Bread and Choice. I therefore wanted to publish this now to give you a heads up about these upcoming deals as I imagine the best offers will sell out fairly quickly.
Note that all of these deals will give you Amazon promo credit rather than a discount. Depending on how many of these deals you take advantage of, you could end up with a shitload turkey platter-full of Amazon promo credits to make use of. Those can only be redeemed on items both sold by and shipped by Amazon which can make them hard to redeem for regular items due to all the third party sellers on the platform. The good thing is that there’s an easy solution – you can redeem them for third party gift cards. Although those are listed as being sold and shipped by ACI Payments LLC, that’s an Amazon company and those qualify as eligible items.
Pay with a card that earns more on Amazon purchases, whether that’s a 5% Amazon Prime card, Discover It card, a Chase co-branded card giving 5%/5x on Amazon this quarter or a card loaded with the Amazon Amex Offer giving 5x bonus Membership Rewards.
psa warning with all of these “promo credits” ….. deals designed with mass “breakage” in mind. Make sure you understand exactly which credit you’re getting, coupon, account credit, and when they expire…. Amazon is making this more and more convoluted. (intentionally)
Further on the complaint at hand, just where on one’s amazon account does one find these credits? Or is the idea that they bury / hide it so that you forget/ can’t find them. Worse, they’re spacing these give card promotions out just long enough so that any of the mystery/forgotten credits expire / disappear before you get around to using them. (so the otherwise “easy” solution to the problem of having lots of credits becomes yet another reason to growl….)
Oh sure, they’re “there” somewhere. If they haven’t expired yet, you’ll see them applied to a qualifying transaction…. (surely there’s somewhere where you can see them stored…. with details, etc., incl. those expired. The old/awful system of sending you credit codes that had to remember to apply manually was in this respect — ‘better’)
i want to buy apple giftcard but at check out when i enter the promo code, nothing happen! If i entered again, say “The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase”
So is not working!!!! at least with apple!
Ditto
Same with Uber. The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
Uber gift cards were sold out. The promo code showed invalid when I tried to check out.
Apple, Grubhub, and Bath & Body Works codes work now but Uber does not
Apple stll not working for me! I found a text right down saying:
Qualifying offers:
Your gift card balance can’t be applied to orders that contain Amazon.com or Visa or Mastercard gift cards, or collectible coins.
But i change to credit card and the same
Apple physical and happy dining don’t work
3 days later, the apple offer still alive, and still not working!!!
