Denny’s is currently offering a free $5 coupon when buying a $25 gift card. You can take advantage of that part of the deal online, but it’s not worth it as they add a $1.95 shipping & handling fee and it can’t be stacked with the other part of this offer.
That second part is earning 15% cashback at Denny’s by paying with a credit or debit card linked to the Dosh app.
If you bought a $25 gift card, you’d end up with $30 of value due to the $5 coupon. Your net cost would be $21.25 due to the 15% cashback, so your savings would be 29.17%.
The only question mark with this stacking opportunity is if Denny’s is offering the gift card deal in-store or if it’s only online. If it’s the latter, I don’t think it’ll be possible to stack the deals as the Dosh cashback only works for in-store purchases.
Dosh has a limit of $15 cashback per day at Denny’s, so you’d max that out when spending $100. If you bought four $25 gift cards, you’d hopefully also get four $5 coupons.
It might be possible to save even more if you have a Chase Offer/Bank AmeriDeal for Denny’s. I remember seeing a Denny’s Chase Offer in the past, although I don’t have that on any cards at the moment. I think that past offer was for 10%, so if you’re lucky enough to have that offer right now, you’d get another $2.50 back as a statement credit. That’d put your savings at 37.5% which is excellent value.
