- Spend $50-$199 & earn $5 bonus cashback
- Spend $200-$499 & earn $25 bonus cashback

- Spend $1,000 & earn $175 bonus cashback

Key Terms
- Promotion is only available on first purchase with a transaction date on February 25th – March 31st, 2022.
- The qualifying first purchase can be of multiple gift cards and the total amount spent on gift cards in that first purchase determines the cash back rewards bonus.
- Members qualify on first purchase only during the promotional period. For example, if a member makes a purchase of $200 during the promotion, the member will earn a $25 cash back rewards bonus. If that same member makes a subsequent purchase in the amount of $500, the member will not receive another cash back rewards bonus.
- The cash back rewards bonus will be applied to the Upromise Account associated with your Upromise Mastercard. Your cash back rewards bonus will be reflected within 7 business days.

The Upromise Mastercard credit card offers spending offers at MyGiftCardsPlus once or twice a year and so it’s increasingly becoming a card that’s worth having for those ongoing spending offers, especially if you’re well over 5/24.
The best deal here is clearly to spend $1,000 on gift cards in order to earn $175 bonus cashback. Spending exactly $1,000 means you’re earning 17.5% bonus cashback on top of the card’s 1.25%-1.529% cashback (depending on how it’s redeemed) and the cashback you’ll earn from MyGiftCardsPlus themselves. That means you’ll earn a minimum of 20% cashback, but potentially substantially more if you buy gift cards when they’re running some kind of deal.
The key thing to note is that the promotion is only valid on your first MyGiftCardsPlus purchase during the promotion dates, so you’ll want to ensure that first purchase meets whichever spending threshold you want to hit.
If you don’t currently have a Upromise Mastercard, the standard welcome offer is $100 when spending $500. However, you can get a $150 welcome offer here (n.b. that’s not an affiliate link, it’s just a link to the better offer). That welcome offer is on top of the separate MyGiftCardsPlus promotion, so a $1,000 MyGiftCardsPlus purchase for a new cardholder would earn:
- $150 from the credit card welcome offer
- $175 from this new spending offer
- $12.50 minimum standard cashback from the credit card
- $10 minimum standard cashback from MyGiftCardsPlus, but possibly far more.
- Total = $347.50+
